There will be occasions when you'll want to work with your data in a spreadsheet.
The category view of your channel has two options (Download and Export) as shown below:
How to choose between Exporting vs. Downloading
If you are planning to re-import the data after working with it in your spreadsheet, you should choose Export selected master data.
This Exported spreadsheet will include several hidden rows that we use to correctly reimport the data after manual edits have been made.
If you are not planning to re-import the data, you should choose Download all products.
This option is typically used to move data into another application or spreadsheet (e.g.: for a lightweight channel where syndication is done by sending a spreadsheet to the retailer)
